NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - The driver of a pick-up truck that hit a charter bus on Long Island was killed and at least least two other people were injured, according to police.

The bus and the truck crashed in Roslyn Heights at about 9 a.m. on Tuesday. The bus then slammed into a tree in the area of Roslyn Road and Heathcote Drive.

SkyFoxHD was over the scene as emergency personnel were attempting to rescue the bus driver. There appeared to be only one passenger aboard the bus, according to the Associated Press. That person's condition was not clear.

The front of the bus was smashed and several windows were blown out.

It is not clear what caused the initial crash but the truck may have crossed a double-yellow line and collided with the bus.
