Facebook Saves Little Girl's Vision

Posted: Updated:

A Tennessee mom says she had no idea her daughter "Rylee" suffered from an eye condition at all until she posted pictures on Facebook.

Friends noticed an odd glow from the child's left eye and urged the mom to get it checked.

Turns out, it's called coat's disease and, it can lead to blindness.

Mom says she had no clue her daughter was having trouble seeing.

"She didn't' sit close to the TV, she's active in gymnastics, she can walk on the balance beam, no indication that there was any visual problems with her left eye," explains Rylee's mother, Tara Taylor.

To keep the remaining vision in her left eye, Rylee will have to undergo continual eye procedures.
