Fight Leads To Deadly Shooting At University City Bar

PHILADELPHIA -

One person is dead, after a shooting at a popular bar in University City.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. outside the Copabanana at 40th and Spruce streets.

Authorities say a 31-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest and torso. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Police have a 26-year-old man in custody. They believe he is the shooter.

Authorities say the men got into an argument inside the bar, prior to the shooting.
