Free Coffee At Wawa For 50th Anniversary Celebration

Posted: Updated:
FOLSOM, Pa. -

Wawa is celebrating their 50th anniversary, and as part of the celebration, coffee is on the house all day.

Fox 29's Bruce Gordon reports live at the very first Wawa located at 1212 Macdade Boulevard Folsom, Pa. The very store that opened up their doors 50 years ago on April 16, 1964.

In the 50 years that followed, Wawa named for the Native American term for a Canada goose has become an American favorite.

Wawa has grown to more than 640 units with the vast majority in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Wawa is a true success story.

Most Wawa stores are opened 24/7, have fast service, and all the stuff people need to get through the day.

You can pick-up anything from a gallon of milk, an assortment of made-to-order hoagies, daily newspapers, lottery tickets and surcharge free ATMs are on-hand at most locations. Locals find it the perfect convenience store for themselves and that special person in their life.

Help Wawa celebrate with a free coffee, which is on the house until 12 a.m.

Fun fact: hot coffee wasn't actually introduced to Wawa until 1975.
