GPB fired Rogers for "political activity" and "outside" job

Posted: Updated:

Apparently, one controversial full time job wasn't enough for former state senator Chip Rogers.

The Fox 5 I-Team has learned Rogers lost his taxpayer-funded $150,000 per year job at Georgia Public Broadcasting because he was also holding another job in the private sector, a second job that was no secret.

Chip Rogers collected his final paycheck today from Georgia Public Broadcasting. His original hiring generated loud complaints of political favoritism. Critics are even more angry now for why he was fired.
