Dave Ramsey & Rachel Cruze: 'Smart Money, Smart Kids'

Financial guru Dave Ramsey and his daughter Rachel Cruze talked to Steve and Maria Monday morning about the new book they wrote together: "Smart Money Smart Kids."

It gives advice to parents on how to raise money smart kids in these tough economic times. The pair talked about how the book is unique because both of them share their own experiences from a parent and an adult child's perspective.

Dave and Rachel will be at Barnes & Noble Monday night at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica signing copies of their New York Times bestseller.

Smart Money Smart Kids provides tips to help parents teach their kids about money.

Parents need to make sure kids understand basic money principles before the leave home

  • Save - it's important for kids to realize delayed pleasure by saving up for purchases

Dave is an American financial author, radio host, television personality, and motivational speaker. His show and writings strongly focus on encouraging people to get out of debt. Ramsey's syndicated radio program, The Dave Ramsey Show, is heard on more than 500 radio stations throughout the United States and Canada, in podcast format, on IHeartRadio, a dedicated iOS application, as well as live audio and video on DaveRamsey.com. Dave and Rachel will be signing copies of ‘Smart Money, Smart Kids’ tonight at the Barnes & Noble at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica...that starts at 7:00p.m. You can also listen to Dave’s radio show from 3:00pm to 5:00pm every day on ‘The Patriot’, 1150AM.
