Authorities are searching for a man who is responsible for an attempted abduction in Marietta on Tuesday.

According to Cobb County Police, the attempted abduction happened near Chapman Driver and Parliament Street.

Investigators say a juvenile female was walking toward an intersection when she was approached by the suspect; he yelled to the girl and opened his car door so she could get inside.

The girl said "no" and the vehicle drove away. The suspect is described as an older white male with a grey mustache. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap.
