Police say a woman jogging in the Teryburn development on Monday afternoon was approached by a man pretending to need help on a trail off of Old Eagle School and Pugh roads.

When the jogger stopped to help, the man tried to pull her to the ground and assault her. The victim managed to escape.

She told police that the suspect had a noticeable six-inch scar with pronounced stitches on one of his legs. He was wearing a light blue, short-sleeve shirt and light-colored shorts.

You're asked to call police if you have any information.
