Kroger stores to end double coupon practice in Mich.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -- Michigan Kroger stores will no longer accept double coupons.

The Cincinnati, Ohio-based grocery chain will officially end the practice on Wednesday. Officials say less than one percent of its customers are traditional coupon users.

Kroger will continue to accept regular coupons at face value.

Officials plan to counter the move with lower prices on items. The Detroit Free Press says the move will impact 126 stores in Michigan.
