CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A South Suburban man apparently didn’t learn his lesson the first time he was caught pimping minors for sex, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting.

Just a month after leaving state prison Tyrelle Lockett again began, allegedly, trafficking minors for sex, according to a federal criminal complaint unsealed this week.

“Obviously, he’s up to his old tricks,” said Cook County Sheriff’s Police Vice Unit Sgt. William Leen, who was involved in the investigation of Lockett’s first case — and now with the most recent case, along with the FBI.

Lockett, 21, of Dolton, is now charged with transporting an underage victim from Indiana to Illinois with the intent that the minor engage in prostitution, according to the complaint.

The prostitution business was, authorities believe, a family affair.

According to the criminal complaint, Lockett’s twin brother, identified only as Individual E, acted as a minor’s pimp. The brother also dated that minor, according to the complaint.

Lockett’s brother, Myrelle Lockett, was also charged in 2010 alongside his brother. Both were 17 at that time. The twins were convicted of trafficking people for forced labor or services and were sentenced to four years in state prison.

Leen said the Lockett twins were the first to be convicted of that state charge.

Separately, Myrelle Lockett also faces a state charge; he’s accused of kidnapping a Minnesota woman last year and bringing her to Chicago to work in the sex trade and is in the Cook County Jail.

The twin’s father, identified only as Individual B in the complaint, also is accused of being involved in the sex business. He allegedly bought a minor hair extensions and an outfit then took her to a hotel to meet prostitutes Tyrelle Lockett had “given” to his father, according to the complaint.

The only person charged in this case now is Tyrelle Lockett, who is accused of telling three minors from Muncie, Ind. how to be sex workers; that included telling them how to interact with clients and giving the minors fake names. He also allegedly kept all the money the minors through sex, according to the complaint.

Tyrelle Lockett allegedly used his Facebook page, under the name “Rico Finally Paid,” to recruit victims, according to the complaint. He even listed his occupation as “Pimpin,” at one point.

He was released from state prison in January 2012 for the 2010 charge, public records show.

Starting in February 2012 and continuing until March 2014, Tyrelle Lockett, and unnamed others “ran a prostitution business in the Chicagoland area and elsewhere,” according to the complaint.

Tyrelle Lockett remains locked up. His next court date is Monday. His attorney did not respond to a request for comment.
