Five year cancer survivors gathered at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America to celebrate life on Friday.
The annual event honors those that began treatment and continue to progress day-by-day.
It recognizes their courage as they work to recover.
More than 100 survivors turned out to share their stories and encourage others battling the disease.
“Just happiness that I'm here 5 years, and hopefully I'll be here the next 5, 10, 20 years. Just a big celebration," said cancer survivor Lisa Baron.
The events are taking place across the country throughout the year.
