BBQ With Buck: Jim's Smokin' Que

BBQ With Buck: Jim's Smokin' Que

Posted: Updated:

So what state has the best BBQ? North Carolina? Texas? Tennessee? Missouri? Well according to TripAdvisor, none of the above. That distinct honor goes to the great state of Georgia. Yes, you read that right. And the folks in the aforementioned states are none to happy about it.

With three Georgia BBQ joints in the top seven of TripAdvisor's latest list, the people have spoken. And when the people speak, 'BBQ With Buck' responds. And you know what that means...Road Trip!!!

This week we head north to Blairsville to meet Jim and Donna Guess of Jim's Smokin' Que, the 6th best BBQ restaurant in the good ole US of A, according to TripAdvisor. Who am I to argue? Whether you like brisket, pulled pork, baby back ribs, or even turkey, it seems you can't go wrong at Jim's Smokin' Que, and don't even get me started on the sides.

And if that's not enough, they're even building a pig themed mini-golf course across the street that is scheduled to open this summer. What more could you ask?

Anyway, if you find yourself in the Blairsville area, you owe it to yourself to check it out...'BBQ With Buck' did.

Ten time Ironman, Dave Nazaroff recently rode 900 miles on his bicycle...from Nyack, New York...to Georgia. He didn't do it to get in shape, or to win a competition; he did it to raise money for a 11 year old Callie Truelove in Gainesville, Georgia.
