(WJBK) - Warren police are investigating the disappearance of a 51-year-old resident, Kimberly Ann Dejohn.

Police say Dejohn was reported missing on Wednesday, May 28, but was last seen on Wednesday, May 14.

Dejohn allegedly walked away from her house, which is located in the 21000 block of Sherwood.

She is described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, having brown hair and brown eyes and multiple tattoos. The outfit she was last seen in is unknown.

Tuesday, authorities were seen searching around the woman's home looking for evidence in her disappearance.

Cadaver dogs picked up no scent in the backyard but inside police may have found proof that something horrible has happened.

When asked if he saw any blood, Warren Police Det. Jim Wolfe responded, "I can't disclose at this time. We have removed items from the home that's going to help this investigation."

Kimberly's sisters have little hope their sister will be found alive. Dejohn has three children and a loving family. They say she wouldn't go this long without checking in. chidlren

"She used to go on Facebook and play games and stuff like that, and then I talked to my sister and she hadn't heard from her. And, something didn't seem right and it didn't sit in my stomach very well," says sister Brenda Earnst.

"I'm expecting to find her, whatever her condition is. The main goal is to find her," says Wolfe.

Kimberly's husband, Lloyd Dejohn, is now under arrest and charged with aggravated domestic violence. Police say he never reported his wife missing.

"He said that there was a fight inside, an altercation inside, the residence. We talked to him briefly and then he requested a lawyer," says Wolfe.

"He had a tow truck remove a vehicle from the driveway that he didn't have keys to. So, and then move the camper. So that was when the camper got moved. ... He just said she left, they got into an argument and she left," says neighbor Heather Ahlstrand.

A possible crack in the case - police confirm Lloyd has his wife's car towed and ditched on Detroit's east side several days ago, but police weren't fooled.

"Nothing is going to throw us off. We're going to look into any and all leads," says Wolfe.

As police searched the Dejohn residence on Sherwood, neighbors say Kim and Lloyd were a normal couple but Kimberly's family tells a different story - one of violence, anger and abuse.

"Please call me. She's always called me when she's gotten in a fight. That's why I am so worried that this time it just went too far," says sister Dawn Hyslop.

If you have seen Dejohn or know of her whereabouts you're asked to contact Warren police at (586) 574-4790 or at (586) 574-4877.
