Murder, unruly crowd near Auto Zone

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) - Detroit police came out in force Saturday after the crowd at a murder scene became unruly and uncooperative. They were trying to get a good look at a man murdered outside an Auto Zone store on Detroit's west side.

Investigators spent a good part of the day trying to figure out what happened behind the Auto Zone on Plymouth Road near the Southfield Freeway. Neighbors tell Fox 2 they heard gunshots around 2am. We're told a customer discovered the body in the alley around 8am and alerted the store manager. Police are releasing few details but will confirm the victim is a black man in his 30's. He was shot multiple times. There were as many as 9 shell casings at the scene. People who appeared to be relatives or close friends of the victims could be seen arriving to try to get information.
