(WJBK) - A 29-year-old woman from Ypsilanti, Mich. is suing Kohl's department stores accusing the company of making harassing phone calls.

Lisa Ratliff admits she owed Kohl's a $20 credit card bill.

She intended to pay the bill until Kohl's kept calling her to remind her.

Despite repeated attempts to have the calls stop, the woman claims Kohl's kept calling.

So, she decided not to pay.

In her lawsuit Ratliff claims some of the annoying calls even came after midnight.

Now, she's suing based on a federal law that can fine bill collectors up to $1,500 per harassing phone call.

Does she have a case?
