A Georgia man was struck by a bolt of lightning and lived to tell the story.
Sean O'Connor was doing some yard work over the weekend. He picked up a rake and then heard a loud boom.
The bolt of lightning was so powerful it threw him across the yard. He was knocked right out of his boots.
"I was a little dazed and confused," he said. "I wasn't sure exactly what happened. I had the taste of blood in my mouth. I could smell burnt hair, and I looked down at my life because it was burning a little bit and I noticed my leg hairs had been singed."
Doctors say it's amazing he survived.
They believe the bolt of lightning hit his steel-toed shoes, and then traveled through his body.
