NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Wine importer David Noto shares his tips on picking the right Prosecco for your next summer soiree.

CHOOSNG A PROSECCO

1. Mionetto Brut DOC: $11 - fruity bouquet with a hint of apple. It is dry, fresh wine that has a light body.

2. La Marca DOC: $17 - Light and sweet with notes of apple and citrus.

3. Santa Margherita DOCG: $22 - Sweet and yeasty with crisp, fruit-forward notes of citrus zest and apples.

4. Altaneve DOCG: $29 - Crisp character with a lovely minerality and an elegant floral bouquet. Velvety and persistent perlage with a clean, balanced finish.

Sgroppino Prosecco cocktail

2 cups (16 ounces) good-quality lemon sorbet

2 tablespoons (1 shot) vodka

1/2 cup Altaneve brand Prosecco

Lemon zest or mint leaf to garnish

Whisk lemon sorbet by hand until a smooth, soft consistency is achieved. Gently blend in the Prosecco and vodka. Serve immediately in chilled stemware glasses (generally flutes) and sprinkle lemon zest or a mint leaf.
