NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

In the first Acts of Kindness segment on Good Day New York, Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto spoke with Jonathan Fleming who was wrongfully incarcerated for more than 24 years and released in April. He was recently hired by Paul Vitale, CEO of Help/PSI.

A chance encounter lead to Vitale and Fleming meeting for the first time.

Greg was having lunch with Fleming at a restaurant on Houston St. in Manhattan last month. The pair had gotten to know each other following Fleming's appearances on Good Day New York where he spoke about life in prison for a crime he did not commit.

Greg walked into Vitale's wife's bag at the restaurant and Vitale used the opportunity to introduce himself. Greg then introduced Fleming to Vitale.

"And the rest is history," said Vitale. "I got to speaking with him and my heart just went out to him. I actually worked in a prison. I can’t imagine living in a prison after all these years. I’d be bitter. He wasn’t," said Vitale.

Fleming was offered a job at the health care organization HELP/PSI which serves the needy in NYC including those who come out of prison.

"We thought he'd be a great ambassador for us," said Vitale.

"It was real a struggle. He gave me an opportunity and I really appreciate the opportunity," said Fleming.

A new reality show is bringing a sense of urgency to your television screen. The show 'The Singles Project' is shot Wednesday- Saturday and airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on Bravo. “That's what makes the show different. We're filming in real-time. We're really on a roller coaster and it's off the rails. The social media part is just another layer,” said Joey Healy, eyebrow stylist to the stars. Healy, Lee Gause, Tabazum Mir and Kerry Cassidy are among the cast members.

Queens native and Oscar winner Adrien Brody is playing the role of the man who inspired his acting career, Harry Houdini.  "He was not only a heroic figure because I had a fascination with magic but magic lead into an understanding of acting and performance.  I found the creative process of researching characters and immersion into the roles I portray to be magical and a more meaningful experience. It lead me to become an actor and here I am asked to portray that man."
