Video: Woman Walking Home From Work Attacked On Doorstep

PHILADELPHIA -

Police have released surveillance video of a scary attack on a woman returning to her North Philadelphia home. Investigators hope the public can help identify and locate the suspects.

The a 23-year-old female was walking home from work and when she arrived at her residence on the 1500 block of North 18th Street on July 27 around 11:35 p.m.

As she took out keys and tried to open the door, three unknown males started punching her and repeatedly demanding her cell phone, police say.

After numerous failed attempts at taking her iPhone, the suspects fled north on 18th Street towards Cecil B. Moore Avenue, police say.

The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital's emergency room, where she was treatment for cuts and bruises to her face.

Police described all three suspects as black and between the ages of 18 and 21. The first was 5 feet 5 inches tall, 160 pounds, with a thin build, arm and neck tattoos, shoulder-length dreads with possible blond in them, wearing a green printed tank top and dark-colored pants.

Police said the second suspect might have been as tall as 5 feet 8 inches, weighing 150 pounds, with dark complexion, a thin build, a Caesar haircut, wearing blue sweatpants and a white T-shirt. The third was only described as wearing a blue Nike shirt.
