Tampa,Fla.(FOX 13)-It's the "early mornin' selfie" that could come back to haunt this guy.
"Yeah, smug is a good word for it," said Courtney Jiles.
Jiles says her car was broken into overnight on Sunday in her own driveway in Hillsborough County. In the center console was an iPhone 4, which she planned to give to her dad, until the thief got his hands on it.
"I immediately felt anxious and I felt really violated," she said.
Like most victims, she had no idea who was behind the crime, that is until she logged on to Facebook and saw a selfie, very possibly the same guy who broke into her car.
"He had accidentally logged on to my Facebook instead of his when he turned it on and posted it to my Facebook instead of his own," she theorized.
We've enhanced the photo to make it easier to see. Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies are taking a close look at it too.
"Very dumb criminal, but works out for me, I guess," she said.
"I'm not so much worried about the phone as I am people need to know that's not OK," she added.
