CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. - More than 350 dogs were up for adoption on Saturday after they were rescued from a kennel in July.

As of 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, 110 dogs were adopted during the 'Happily Ever After Celebration' event.

The shelter tells FOX 5 Atlanta that close to 100 people camped out in front of the Cherokee County Animal Shelter on Friday.

The shelter said many dogs are still available. Some of these dogs will be special needs dogs.

In July, the dogs were taken from Heavenly Kennel after Cherokee County Marshal's found the dogs housed in cages and living in their own feces and urine.
