Disabled war veteran receives new modified laptop

Posted: Updated:

A disabled war veteran has a new lease on life thanks to some good Samaritans.

Soldiers' Angels donated a new modified laptop to Sergeant Nathan Young in Douglasville Wednesday.

Young was injured in a grenade attack in Iraq in 2010. He suffered severe brain trauma and other injuries.

Thanks to Soldiers' Angels and others, soldiers returning home with life altering injuries are receiving laptops equipped with voice activated software.

Young, a college student, will be able to better process and understand information.

Tax-deductible donations can be made through the Soldiers' Angels website.

The Douglas County Communications Department is also accepting contributions for the organization.
